How to apply your FermTank's Neoprene Jacket and Heating Belt.
What's in the box!?
- One Heat Belt
- One Neoprene Insulating Jacket
- One Extension Cord
To install the heat belt, wrap it around the midsection of your FermTank and the two velcro straps should go around the top and bottom of your Thermowell before reaching back to the other end of the heat belt.
The power cord should come out dead center above the back leg of the FermTank.
(INSTALL THE HEAT BELT BEFORE THE JACKET)
To install the Insulating Jacket,
(Unzipping the jacket makes installation a lot easier)
You should regularly remove and thoroughly clean your bottom dump valve as it has plenty of places that can't be easily cleaned with it on. That and it also makes installing the jacket a lot easier.
- The center hole will slide over the tube that your bottom dump valve threads on to.
- There will be 3 holes around the center hole for the legs to go through.
- There will be two holes for the Thermowell & Racking Arm Valve.
(If you have trouble with the Racking Arm Valve, try to pull the jacket up and over the middle of the valve before inserting it through the hole in the FermTank. This will keep the jacket from getting pinched between the two surfaces and creating a leak.)
-There will be two horizontal slits for the handles to come through.
-The 4 holes at the top are for your spring loaded clamps to go through.
(The Power Cord will go under the jacket and out through the hole with the back leg of the FermTank.)
