Manufacturers Defects

Every once in a while a unit slips through that might not make the greatest seal where the bucket meets the lid or occasionally a weld breaks on the handles.

We pressure test the lids and weight check the handles on every unit to make sure that every unit sent out to you will do it's job and be safe to use, but we can't catch em all.

As far as a leak at the lid, try a little food grade grease on the gasket to help form a better seal with the rim of the FermTank.

If you still have a gas leak, check your fittings to make sure all the gaskets are good and show no signs of damage.

Another thing to check is the hinges that hold the lid down.

If you notice the tension on one of the hinges is weaker than the rest, you may have a defect.

A broken handle is about as good of a case for a defective unit as I've ever seen, let us know.

These issues were a cause of moving our manufacturing facility to a larger location, some of the equipment needed fine tuning after the move and as such these defective units so far have been isolated to a small percentage of that one batch.

In either case, if you have a defective unit, please feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to work with you.

Our usual response is to have you send back the defective unit and we issue a new unit at no cost to you.
